What is the Grading Scheme?
The 5-point Grading Scheme has been designed to clearly establish the focus of your
practice. The Grade will be awarded based on your performance:- in the Teacher's
Training Courses ,or - the Interview process, which you have to go through for Certification.

I run a Yoga Centre - how do I get certified?
If you run a Yoga
Center and want to be certified, first you need to be Registered with us. Registration
is free and simple and can be done by filling up the form on the site. Then contact
us for an on-line interview, which can be arranged at a mutually convenient time.
If you meet the criteria set by our panel of experts, your Center will be certified.
I am a Yoga teacher - how do I get certified?
First, Register with
us. Registration is free and simple - just fill up the form on the site and submit
it. Then, there are two ways in which you can obtain Certification:
- Attend a Teacher's Training Course for 100 hrs or for 500 hrs, and get certified
accordingly. You can check out the details on the site, or
- Take an on-line interview with our panel of eminent Yogis, and if your performance
is found satisfactory, you will get certified.
What is Certification?
The Certification program is designed
to establish standards for Yoga teachers and Yoga Centers.The certification program
will give the teacher (or center) the stamp of authenticity. A nominal fee is charged
for the Certification process - contact us for further details.
What is Yoga Alliance International?
Yoga Alliance International
is an organisation aimed at setting standards in the teaching and disemmination
of Yogic practices throughout the world.
Who can join Yoga Alliance International?
There are three categories
of membership available in Yoga Alliance International.
First, if you are an individual interested in Yoga and would like to receive our
newsletter and information on upcoming events, you can join us.
Next, if you are a Yoga Instructor wanting to be certifed by Yoga Alliance International,
you can join us. Details of certification will be provided to you after you sign
up with us.
Finally, if you represent a Yoga School or Yoga Centre that would like to be affiliated
with us, you can register with us for that purpose. Detaied requirements of such
membership are provided elsewhere on this site.
