Certification

Certification is a paid process open to both individuals and instituitions.

Individual Certification

There are two ways in which Individuals can obtain certification: - attend the Teacher's Training Course (either the 100 hr course for Basic Certification or the 500 hr course for Advanced Certification). Participants in the course will be graded according to the Grading system outlined. - take an on-line interview (through Video calls) at a mutually agreed time. Grading will depend on the performance during the interview.

Institutional Certification

Representatives of the Institution will take an on-line interview (through Video calls) at a mutually agreed time. Grading will depend on the facilities available and the performance of the representatives during the interview.

This section gives details of typical requirements to be fulfilled by the Yoga Centre for Certification. The centre should offer a 100-level or 200-level or 500-level course made up of the components indicated in the Standards section of this site.

All certified institutions will be entitled to offer Yoga Alliance International Certified Teachers Training courses. Certificates will be issued by Yoga Alliance International, and will also appropriate logos and carry signatures of the Institutional head.
